HCP started with 16 children in 2005. Six of the children have been re-settled and now 10 are in HCP.

Rambir came to HCP in 2005 with his younger brother Sunil. Their facther was killed in an accident where he fell from a tree while collecting woods. His mother also died from illness. Rambir passed class 2 with distinction last year and is in class 3 this year. He is an enthusiastic student and loves to learn. Inside HCP he is very responsible and is more than willing to help out. He likes to do art and loves playing football.

Anil's mother works at the home helping to care for the children. They arrived in 2005 after Anil's father ran away. Anil is a keen student and a quick learner. This year he is in KG. Anil is very eager with everything he does and seems to have boundless energy. Aside from studying, he loves to draw and play football.

Child Welfare brought Shova to HCP in 2005 after her father killed her mother. She is still developing her confidence and making good progress in her school. This year she is attending class 1 this year. She is eager to please and very helpful around the house. She loves crafts, playing games and tricks. She is always trying to put a smile on everyone's face.

Manisha and her younger brother Omi came to HCP in 2007 after their father died and their mother moved to another village to re-marry. Manisha is in KG this year after limited schooling prior to her arrival. She is a very hard worker and is extremely helpful around the house. She is very caring towards the other children, particularly Omi. She is still growing in confidence but very much enjoys singing and dancing.

Sabitri and her older sister Durga came to HCP in 2005 after their mother died from illness and their father, who was wanted by the Maoist, escaped and was killed in a bus accident. Sabitri is a very eager student and finised in top 10 of KG last year to progress through to class 1 this year. Away from school, Sabitri is very helpful around the home an likes to entertain people with her singing and dancing.

Nirmala's aunt brought her to HCP in 2006. Her father is dead and her mother is too poor to maintain her livelihood. Nirmala will attend KG this year, having no education prior to her arrival at HCP. Nirmala enjoys doing work around the house and is always looking for ways to help out. She loves to play and can always find a reason to smile.

Sunil came to HCP in 2005 with his older brother Rambir after the death of their parents. Their mother died after a long battle with illness and their father was killed in an accident while collecting wood. Outside of school, Sunil is a keen dancer and has participated in various dances in his Bal Vikas classes. He has also been able to foster his creative nature at HCP and loves arts, crafts, singing and dancing.

Durga's anunt brought her and her younger sister Sabitrin to HCP in 2005. Their mother died from illness and their father was killed in a bus accident. Durga started class 2 this year after finishing in the top of her class last year. She is a avid learner, who has excelled in many of her school subjects. In the home, she is very responsible and helps to take care of the younger children. She loves singing and dancing and has become both very good and confident in these arts.

Omi and his other sister Manisha were brought to HCP in early 2007 by their older brother. After their father died, their mother remarried and relocated to another village, where there was no one to care for them. Omi's very curious and bubbly nature has helped him to settle in and this year he has stared nursery. He has already picked up some English and has shown a thirst for knowledge. He loves playing with other children and keeps everyone entertained.

Rabi was brought to HCP in 2005 after he lost his father in an accident where this father fell down from steep hill. His mother since suffered from mental distraction disease and was unable to sustain her and her family. Ravi is a quiet and laborious boy. He is very good at reciting prayers and loves to make sketches. He has joined class 2 along with other children this year.

Shreejana and her younger brother were brought to HCP in August 2007 by her neighbours. They lost their father and
mother in their early age. They were being raised by kind help of their neigbours until they came to HCP. Shreejana is a quite and a very talented girl. She's showing sign of being a keen learner at HCP. She starts her 2nd standard this year.

Shreejan was brought to HCP along with his elders sister Shreejana in August 2007 by her neighbours. They lost their father and mother in their early age. They were being raised by kind help of their neigbours until they came to HCP. Shreejan has remained a shy boy, he loves prayers and enjoys the evenning meditation sittings. He join class 2 this year.

Shyam is also one of the new members of HCP. A group of volunteers helping rehabilitate children brought him to HCP. Shyam has his mother and a sister as the only member of his family. He really loves his mother and has said that he'll like to marry girl who's like his mother. His mother works as a sweeper in hospital and her economic condition is miserable for supporting her child's future.
