Helpless Children's Paradise (HCP) is a volunteer organization located at small community in Basundhara, Kathmandu, Nepal, working to rehabilitate deprived, helpless and orphaned children in Nepal. More than a decade long of political violence has hugely affected the socio-economic lives of people in Nepal, and the most affected are undoubtedly the children.

Rick takes children to Manakamana

December 30, 2013.

Rick Roels, an old well wisher of HCP was here in HCP. He has always enjoyed being in Nepal and seeing the kids grow. He took the kids to the Manakamana temple which is about 100 km west of Kathmandu. Manakamana temple is the temple of goddesses Bhagwati. Children had a lot of fun travelling by bus and riding the cable car on their way to the temple.

Sasaki from Japan gives a visit

Kazuko Sasaki, an old well wihser of HCP had visited HCP this year. She brought many gifts to the children from Japan. She is accompanied by her husband.

Dancing with Krishna

August 28, 2013.

Krishna Astami fell on August 28 this year. Krishna Astami has great importance in Hindu Religion as this is the day in which Lord Krishna was born.
Children at HCP celebrated this holy festival dressing up themselves as Krishna, Radha (Krishna's soulmate) and Gopinis (Devotees of Krishna) and dancing in near-by temple.

Stone Painting

August 23, 2013.

Children at HCP are all-rounder. They are good at academic studies, sports and have keen interest in art as well. Children at HCP had opened a stall in an exhibition held in Nature's Club. They had put their creations for selling and raising fund for their pocket money. Their creation included like stone painting, paper bags and necklaces.

Getting Awards

April 15, 2013.

This year as well, the children at Paradise have shown that they are doing very well in their studies.
Nirmala, Saraswati (saru), Rambir and Sabi have secured the top three positions in their classes. Other children have passed with Distinction marks.

Festival of Color, Holi

March 13, 2013.

"Holi" is a very auspicious festival celebrated each year during the month on "Falgun", which falls in March.
Playing in color, children had smiles on their faces.

Christmas Presents from Sasaki (佐々木さんよりクリスマス プレゼント)

Sasaki, is a volunteer from Japan who has been involved in various volunteer activities in Nepal since over a decade. She is one of well wishers of HCP. Like last year, this year as well, has sent wonderful gifts to Children for this Christmas.
